| Whatever happened to that disposable cell phone? That would be great, because I don't need a phone with all these fancy features

I don't like using a separate cell phone, but I can't give up 90% of what I use a PDA for just for cellular capabilities, even for something as seriously cool as the Treo 650. |
I deleted my post since it should have been for the Treo 650 rumor thread. But since you've replied on it befor I got to delete it... LOL, I guess all the features and apps you've mentioned will work on the Treo 650. |

Think businessmen and executives. The Treo 650 is not for everyone. Executives in the other hand wouldn't like to be seen using a disposable cellphone. LOL |

| I got information about two new Tungsten models.
The first one that will be released is the Tungsten|T5. It will come with Cobalt, 128MB RAM, HiRes+, bluetooth, WiFi, and a 520MHz PXA270 chip. The slider will be gone, and the D-pad will be Tungsten|C-styled. The battery is good enough to survive a workday. Expect it in November.
The second model is the Tungsten|E2. It won't be released before April 2005, and surely won't have a HiRes+ screen. It will however run OS6, have 64MB RAM, and the same processor as the Zire72. The built-in bluetooth will be limited to 2 meter. The price will be around $250.
An OS6 upgrade will be available for the Tungsten|C and Tungsten|T3 a month after the release of the Tungsten|T5. The Tungsten|C will still be sold with OS5, but that will change as soon as the current model is out of stock.
I haven't been able to take pics. |

Where did you get this information? Any idea of a price for the T5? |

| Sounds like another wishlist to me. If this is true, I think the T|C buttons on a T|3 body would look ugly, and I would prefer the huge awkward T|3 ones

| The price of the T5 will be similar to the T3: around $399.
The information has been acquired from somebody who had it 'first-hand'.
If I can get some pictures they will be posted within 24 hours, else don't expect them from me. |

| Are you from China? That is where pics of the last models surfaced from.

| I'd like to think this info and picture is real. I'm aching for news, and it sounds good, and I'm sooo longing to buy in the next round of products asap. But as it stands it just doesn't sound very convincing to me.
TungstenInfo, if you're providing real scoop then you're my hero! I know it's not your job to convince us, but can you provide any little tidbit that gives it some credibility? We want to believe! But, to be honest, right now it seems like everything is just like what someone would post if they were making it all up. I'd hate to have everyone dismiss a great scoop if it's for real.
Can you help us out!!?? Thanks again. (Even if it's not true, I suppose I have to admit it was fun to read!)

| The picture seems real, the info on it says it was taken with a CLIE. Also, that looks like the OS Cobalt Datebook because it has the tabs for the days of the week.

| one very nice thing is that it has the Pa1mOne logo in the top right...If this is a P'shop job, its been done with some attention to detail. I must say, this is exactly what I thought the new T would look like and it closely resembles a photo posted months ago of what might have been a pre-prod job. Who knows. Ill stay tuned for more info but this smells like the real thing....I guess we'll see soon enough (or not soon enough in fact ) |

You are right..this might be the real deal and I want one now.
TungstenInfo, what are the dimensions (mainly the length) of the unit, say compared with a closed T3?? |
