| Depends on what you're looking for. If you want a upgrade on the camera, the NX80 camera is definitely better (although the Movie recorder quality is degraded). The Decuma was pretty much the deciding factor for me. Makes input much faster. |

| I owned an NX60 and upgraded to an NX80 the difference is amazing. The 80 is by far the best palm based device I've ever used. I am curious to see how multi-tasking will work on the new OS6 but I wouldn't wait for it. You know the first gen OS6 products are going to be riddled with glitches. OS5 has behaved very well for me personally.

That's what people thought about OS 5, and the original NX series was damn near perfection in terms of software quality and integration. The T|T was a different story, as Palmone is slightly mentally handicapped.
I say wait for OS 6. The current NX lineup should be phased out soon because of the recent price-drop, which means either a new NX or UX model on the horizon. Hopefully NX, since I can't stand the UX series. Hopefully we'll see them soon. |

| Wouldn't it be great if with the OS6 clies Sony would make their other models of stuff work with it? They can't write drivers to work with old apps but if they would just start coordinating all their stuff NOW they would eventually have their act together. This would delight a lot of sony handheld users to no end. |

| UX and NX got different style of users. So I don't think NX will phase out even it price are drop.

| Upgrade - Yes! I too went from the NX70v to the NX80v and feel it is definitely worth the upgrade! Power management is awesome, the screen brightness is improved and the Silk Launcher is outstanding. It is the best PDA I've owned to date and I've purchased a number of them including the Palm V, HP Jornada (2 models) as well as the NR70v and NX70v. |

| what about the nX80's hinged CF slot - is it solid, or prone to breaking? And am I correct in thinking that only 16MB of RAM is available (like my NX60 only had 11MB available)?

| I have an NX70V and don't see enough reason to upgrade. I'll try to hold out for something with OS6, more memory, etc.

| I got the NX80v and love it. Do you already have a palm? If so what?
If you do not have a palm, then I would first just buy a cheap palm, maybe off EBAY, something like a palm M505/m515. The reason being, some people buy it for the wow factor, then find that the palmthing isn't for them. Check the classified and you will see haha.
Personally I had a Visor Platinum like 5-6 yrs ago, and I gotta say, having that visor killed the PDA thing for me. Battery die'n, monochrome. . . .anyways longstory short, PDA is gone thru leaps and bounds. . . CLIE NX80V is amazing.
So in short, if you never had a PDA, get a cheap ($50-200) one to make sure you really need a pda, before you spend $400-700 on a NICE PDA and regret it.
If you already have a PDA, I would personally just wait. I bet in about 2-6 months there will be some real nice pdas coming out. |

I went through (and got over) my 'want' period with the T3, and if I get one as a gift, I'm sure I'll love it, but . . .
I've had my NX for over a year now, and I STILL love it.

| Some people are easily content some are not, so it depend on individual whether it is worth to upgrade from NX70 to NX80.
Just for info only:
The main diff are cam + weak video light + keybd backlight.
Other diff are more stylish appearance + retracted slim CF slot(not so solid though) + built in applications in flashrom (total 64mb) with improved final patch softwares yet still provide 32mb space free to use (with Jackflash).

| I had upgrade or downgrade from NZ90 to NX80. You see?
Btw now I'm still waiting for OS6 device too. Maybe I might miss the UX if OS6 is outperform to UX.

| I went from an NR70V to an NX80, so in my case, the difference between the two was night and day.
As for the NX70 to '80 thing, if you're into web browsing, et al, the NX80 upgrade might make sense for you since the memory heap is so much larger - no more "Page too Large" errors, which were numerous on the NX70. Other than that, I'm not sure that there is much to recommend, aside from "cosmetic" issues, like the retractable CF slot (which could be construed as a negative, depending on your point of view), backlit keyboard, tablet-mode application buttons, better camera, improved battery life, better CF integration, slightly brighter screen...
If your NX70 has been doing the job for you up 'till now, why not wait and see what Sony has up their sleeve for OS6? If you're not impressed with what they have to offer, you'll probably be able to pick up an NX80 on closeout for next to nothing.

| mmm, forgot about the application hard-buttons at the bottom of the tablet. That's nice, true, but the FREE Okey app provides the same thing. Anything else that I/we have overlooked in the model differences?
