I just couldn't take it anymore.  I found that Amazon had the SJ-33 for $194.00, with free shipping.  Plus they are giving a $30 credit to anyone who opens an Amazon Credit Card account.  So I bit the bullet and ordered one.  My total with the discount is $164.

I have 6 months to pay off the balance of the Amazon account and I will be charged no interest..  I'll do that in a month.

I am on a budget and this looked like the best fit.  My last Clie, the N760C, took two years of abuse at the gym 5 days a week, and on the road alot.  But then it died a mysterious death after being wedged in my car's glove compartment on a drive to Florida.  Because the the N760 had no hard cover, and the flimsy flap had long broken off, the pressure, dust, and heat finally overcame it.

So I hope the SJ-33's hard cover offers better protection.  I like the NX series, but my budget is not ready for that yet.  While I like the keyboard of the NX series, the MP3 playback was the biggest reason I needed to buy.

I figured I'd be able to get by with a regular MP3 player, but have you guys seen the prices of those?  Most good one's run in the range of $130-$230.  I figured I'd just drop that on a new Clie, which can do much more.  Anyhow, I am now out of the N_Series Club, and into the SJ crowd.
