Half a day to reinstall everything including preferences, but could rescue some network prefs though..
I wish I could make automatic backups telling me(and now here comes the important part whether my backup is clean and fine. So I know whenever I make a backup it is a secure one, and making an exception for wrong changed apps- I know this isn't possible yet.....

But you can at least make auto backups and store several of them from previous days
