Let's Make Tutorials!

One thing that I noticed in respect to the database is that a lot of threads would contain tutorials.  Often times the same questions would arise again and users (either the same or others) would be posting a tutorial again.  Doing a search through the threads definately has its place, but I think the idea of the tutorials section is a great idea.

I think that it would be used more if the link to that section was more prominent.

I also think that it would be easier and more effective to lay it out in a format that more closely resembles the files section.  Apps are seperated into catagories in the files section.  The tutorials could be laid out in a similar format ie "Image Viewers" and have tutorials under that catagory that apply.  Browsing for a tutorial by title is very nice and I don't think that option should be removed, but I think that browsing by catagory would encourage newbies to more readily take advantage of reading the tutorials, because they would more easily be able to browse to see if any tutorials apply to their needs.

Just some thoughts, and I for one will try to get busy writing some tutorials.

One more qestion/request.  The tutorial section does not have any gui for html or text formatting at all.  Is there a setting that I missed that would have displayed a gui for formatting.  If not, can we have one.
