I got my T5 out of storage to start using it again. My Palm Software was on my old computer which crashed and burned on me. Loaded Palm 6.2.2 on my new computer (Windows 7). Am unable to perform a sync. I think my problem is that I don't know what my user name for my T5 is to enter into the sync page on the computer (the error message on my T5 is that it cannot connect to the computer). Does anyone have any idea how to retrieve my user id from my T5? Thank you.
T5 I believe when it loses its power loses everything that you recorded. Thus it is like starting fresh. So why would you need the old name used for Hotsync since you are also starting fresh. Pick any name and start anew.
All software that you may have bought might be re registrationable. Other software still remembers who bought what and may allow you to get another password. YMMV good luck and ask more questions and update us on your efforts.

Thank you for the quick reply philpalm. I tried making up a new User Name, but that did not work. It appears to me that when I charged up and turned on my T5, all settings where still there, that is why I am trying to find out my T5 user name.
I found my user name. By pressing the hot sync button on the T5, it brings up the master page. The user name is in the upper right hand corner. However, still trying to sync my T5 with Windows 7 (via cable). Using Palm 6.2.2 and Hot sync V5.0. Getting error message "The connection between your device and the desktop could not be established. Please check set up and try again. Have tried HP/Palm trouble shooting steps with no luck. Based on the tones, I think my computer is recoginzing my T5 when I plug into the USB port. Any ideas? Thanks.
Just found the trouble shooting instructions. Seems that I needed to install a 64-bit driver onto my computer. It sync'd up as soon as I installed. Sorry if I troubled anyone. Thanks for the support.
