| Clie UX-50 Internet Hi. I have Ux-50 that I've had for several years. It quit working some time ago due to a dead battery. I decided that I would like to use it again so I found a new battery and installed it. Does anybody know if there is a program to access the internet. I have Netfront 3.0 on my clie but they dont seem to be around anymore.
Thanks |

| What do you mean by not around anymore? Usually internet can be connected by bluetooth and/or wifi. You go to pref and select which one, and press details to determine which internet wifi or bluetooth emitter is around.

| Hi. What I mean by not around anymore when I try to connect to the Internet it shows that I am connected however all I get is blank screen with NetFront v3.0 written on the top left and (4) dancing bars on the top right. After a minuet or so the bars stop dancing and I get a error message saying " Network timeout ". I figured Netfront wasn't there anymore. |

| Netfront is definitely still there - best check your WiFi settings first. Remember the Clié is only capable of supporting 64-bit WEP encryption for instance.

| If you're connected using the Wireless LAN (WiFi), then your router should be configured for WEP as well. I'm presuming it is if you're connected.
As for NetFront, either click on the word "NetFront" at the top left and then "Enter Address", or click on the folder at the bottom and enter in an address.

On a side note, wow I haven't been on this site for several years. I just saw a PM from 2007 waiting for me. (Ha! I confirmed receipt) I cannot believe I paid $800 for this new, or something like that. Man do I have gadget issues. At the time, this was a hell of a device, but I haven't used it in years. Perhaps I'll buy a new battery and have some fun with it. |

I paid £300 GBP for mine and it was imported from the US. I never, ever saw another UK UX50 user in all the years I carried mine.

Well, I've paid 30 euros for UX last month and consider it better quality in assembly than Palm LD I bought in 2006 for almost 500 euros (although it's much faster and recent) |

| I loved the keyboard and form factor of the UX50... it was definitely ahead of its time...
the screen and battery life were horrible though
