Tungsten T3 won't respond. Any suggestions?

It went dead on my one day on a trip. It was working fine one day, then the next day, it's dead. Specifically, I can NOT turn it on or get any life out of it. I tried the following to no avail....

--pressing the power button yields nothing
--pressing the center button yields nothing
--pressing the any of the PIM hard buttons yields nothing
--pressing the voice recorder button on the side yields nothing
--soft resetting the device yields nothing
--hard resetting the device yields nothing

When I put it into the cradle to charge, the light does come on. Will letting the battery die down and then recharging from 0 work at this point? If so, how long should I leave the thing out of the cradle for it to completely die (is 3 days enough)? How long to fully charge from 0 (is one day enough?)?

My only other options I can think of are...

Call Palm for tech support, but they'll charge $30 for tech support, and may not be able to fix it anyways

buy a new one device on Ebay

Try opening it up to see if there are any loose cables and such, but can anyone recommend a good tutorial for this?

Thanks!
