| I think you zapped the motherboard. I've seen these problems in several TH55s that were sent to me for repair after the owners accidentally grounded their fingers on the motherboard with the battery power cable still connected to the to the motherboard. The first thing one needs to do before touching this delicate motherboard is to disconnect that battery cable.
I have plenty TH55 motherboards if you need to replace it. I'll PM you for detail.
