new small tablets as TX replacement?

I've had a Palm going back to the III, and I am quite happy with my TX. I use spreadsheets on my TX and love the screen. My original TX started repeatedly activating the hotsync app, and died completely a day later. I bought a used one on ebay, so I'm back in business, but I know I need to figure out what to do post-Palm. My phone needs are already met, so I'm not in a hurry to get a new smart phone. I'm not wild about the few legacy PDAs out there. Netbooks seem too large. The Touch seems a contender, but I also don't care for devices that I can't add sd cards to. Has anyone seen any of the new small tablet devices coming out? I'm wondering if they'll fill the niche left by the TX.

I was just thinking about this last night. Dell is supposed to come out with a new 7" Android tablet and I'm sure tempted. The biggest thing I use my TX for are crossword puzzles, the TV schedule, an alarm clock, and my calendar, so I'm not asking for a lot. It seems that a 7" tablet would be perfect for reading books on. I can lie in bed and read on a 7" screen. I could easily carry it in my purse. A 10" tablet is just too large. That's the size of my netbook.

That's a good question. My wife has a TX as well, and we have one as a spare. Maybe my next phone will be an Android. Like PteroWarrior, I've heard that Grafitti is available, which would probably be faster than any onscreen keyboard for me.
