| Nintendo approves DS lite expansion Nintendo DS users in Japan will soon be able to download video, images, books legally(Report around December 2, 2007)
Generally speaking, little devices for the DS that make use of MicroSD memory are bad for Nintendo’s business – but coming soon for the Japanese market is a fully-licensed Nintendo DS cartridge that will accept MicroSD flash memory as a storage medium to deliver video, images and text onto the handheld.
Developed by Dai Nippon Printing and AM3, the product called DSvision will appear much like any normal Nintendo DS game, except that on its side is a slot to accept a MicroSD card. Users of the product will be able to utilize a download service to load TV shows, comics and books for viewing on the Nintendo DS. http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=9877

| I wonder when will PSP has this sort of policy as well. I bought Nintendo DS Lite for my gf recently and I also purchased the little devices which make use of microSD. My purpose of having that little device is to test out a game before I buy it. Same as PSP where I play games using CSO files. However, once I bought the game, I will still continue using the ROMs or CSOs because running games from memory card is faster than running games from the flash cards or UMDs.

| Micro SD Cards True, the use of the micro SD cards has made life quite more easy and especially affordable. The only problem with them currently though is the availability. Short of ordering online, I have found myself having some serious problems tracking down ones at the local gaming stores. Owning a PSP myself, I found it quite hard to get them when tehy were first made available for my hand held system.
