Unhappy Where can I find screws for a Clié UX-50?

Hi,

I've recently acquired a used Sony Clié UX-50. Although the PDA is in mint condition, I’ve noticed the battery is not able to hold the charge for so long (1 hr. aprox.) so I’m thinking about replacing it.

The problem is that I’ve found 2 torx screws a bit damaged (screws aren’t biting) at the back of the PDA that would be difficult to unscrew. I suppose I will be able to extract them but, in the case I do, I don’t want to put them back to my PDA again because of their condition.

The question is : ¿Where can I get replacement screws similar to the original? I live in Spain.

Thanks in advance.

Try the thread about spare parts at the top of this forum. I believe you can get parts from Dan-T who is one of the forum regulars here.

Hi:
Where can I get the proper screwdriver to remove the 5-point star screws in the case of my UX50. I bought a set of torx drivers specified for PDA repair which included a T5 driver, but it doesn't seem to fit the screws. Rather than chew them up I would like to get the proper tool for removing the screws.
