Can't seem to get this thing started. I loaded the software from the original disk (ver 1.0 for TJ25 & TJ35). My computer OS is Win XP sp3 and Clie OS is Palm 5.2.1. Driver will not install during hotsync. When I force a driver, the computer will recognize as Sony Handheld, but device cannot start (code 10). I noticed that the Hotsync Manager is v 4.1.0 and the Clie Hotsync is v 5.0.
BTW, my old Clie SJ22 plugs in, automatically loads the driver and syncs just fine. I noticed that the Clie OS is v4.x and Hotsync on that device is v4.0.
Happy New year! It might be because the desktop for SJ22 is not backwards compatible with the desktop for TJ-35/25 (for my TH-55 when you press help on the desktop you will see version 4.1)
Since version 4.1 is the newer desktop, delete the old version and install the newer version first. Then install the drivers to the older Clie devices. Good luck however I believe someone mentioned that Palm also has a general purpose desktop that can sync Sony Clie.
I did download a general purpose desktop from Palm for my TX. Unfortunately I can't seem to delete said program in order to install a full desktop from TE2.

The computer has the software for the TJ35 installed. The older SJ22 syncs with it and the newer TJ35 does not. I used the TJ35 cables and the TJ35 installation disk. Everything checks out except the TJ35. Does this indicate that the software (maybe Hotsync) contained within the TJ35 is faulty? Or is there something newer that fixes a bug between the TJ35 and the Win XP system?
