Ok, I think I have an NX (says PEG-NX60/U on back), and I was wondering if it has pdf veiwing capabilities, and, if so, whether I need to add software or not and how I put pdfs on it.

Do-a-Google search for "palm pdf reader" will find several solutions. One reformats the PDF and syncs the result to RAM, others can read PDFs from the card. Most are freeware, the best are shareware.

As our old Clies are bit on the light side for memory (compared to the "newer" PalmOS devices) you might find UDMH useful to help display larger PDFs in colour:
