Will Verizon charge me?

Looking at the Samsung omnia as my new Mobile Phone from verizon. my question is: if i use Google maps for my gps instead of Verizon's "Vz navigator"
will they be able to tell and if so will they charge me. also as a PPC device i believe that this thread is in the right forum.

Depends

Depends on your account. I use Verizon, but I don't use their data plan(s). I have Unlimited everything else. Any internet access will cost me $1.99 per 1k.

My plan is 450 minutes + unlimited text & pictures at $69.99 (plus fees and taxes).

Best bet is to check their website and compare their plans.

No. They wont charge yo8u extra for Google MNaps.

But: you pay the data, which is hefty if you have no data contract!

Omnia owner here.

You can't get an Omnia onto Verizon without at least an email/web plan. (mine is 30 dollars/month.)

Aside from that I've found my experience to be quite awesome.
I'm loving this phone!

It's everything I wished my Clie TH55 could have been years ago, except for the OS of course.

Happy new year!
