Question Where can I buy the proprietary Sony screwdrier to replace bat.?

I hope this message receives everyone in good health. I recently purchased a replacement battery for my Clie UX via eBay that did not include the special screwdriver needed to remove the bottom plate of the PDA. I've looked online for this screwdriver, but every site that has it sells it bundled with a replacement battery, totaling about $40.

Does anyone know where I can get this screwdriver sold separately and at a low price? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I wouldn't bother - I use a small flat head screwdriver of the sort usually found in spectacle repair kits which is more than adequate.

I suggest you try flat head screwdriver.

Use a set of Jewellers Screwdrivers

Use a set of Jewellers Screwdrivers, you can pick up a set of cheap ones quite easily these days.

Use the largest flat bladed driver that comfortably fits across the centre into two of the five arms.

Thanks guys. I got a jeweler's flathead screwdriver and it worked for the first three screws, but the fourth was too tight and it's now stripped bare. I now have to power drill the head of the screw off, which will be time consuming and risky. Wish me the best of luck.

D'oh! Sorry to hear that - it's the first time I have heard of that happening.
