Just was looking to see how everyones tg50 is holding up to the times. I back-graded to a tg50 from a tx and it was the best thing I ever did. I use the T|e pim apps to get extended fields and calendar colors. I use zlauncher and pocket tunes. I have the image converter 1.5 upgrade from the sony clie fan site. And this thing still kicks like it should. Does anyone else have thoughts, good or bad?
It is a great device, today I used the Remote comander and noticed for options you can remote control most Japanese TVs. I was able to Remote control a Panasonic Plasma using the second mode for tvs.
I also read my e-books on this device, though bright daylight is a bit hard to use. Since it is an OS 5.0 it works very well with most of the book formats I use. One thing when I get more money is to try a MS pro duo with higher than 1.0gb. The 256k and 512k MS pro duos have worked well enough for my purposes.
One thing I haven't learned is to shift my red or blue uppercases on the keyboard. Usually for numbers I have to press the blue and the number at the same time.
Coincidentally someone is selling one on craigslist in Los Angeles for $70, maybe I will buy one for a spare....

Just install OKey: http://www.geocities.com/nagamatu/OKey/index-e.htm
I finally have downgraded from a TungstenC to the TG50. Using LinkStart (its cost is quite low) I have being able to cope with its very small memory in a flexible enough way. I use it to write a little (although I prefer using the MessagEaseKB with the CardTXT editor), do my presentations with Margi's PresenterToGo (the reason I bought my first Clié, a T675C, last year, since the MS version is --or was-- available very cheap) and read news (Plucker) and books (Mobibook). Only thing I don't like is that I cannot lower the brightness as much as with the TungstenC (with the brigthnesfix patch). I would prefer a TH55, but the PresenterToGo is limited to a 5.0 Clié, so I will stick with it.
