| Files in upper case can be downloaded at dmitry's web, search "palmpowerups" on google and go to download section (multiple pages). These is freeware made by a great programmer. Here is the working link today: http://www.palmpowerups.com/priv/picsel_libs.zip
In that web site you will also find other tools that people are using for this browser, these are pixel accelerator and MaxX. Some of them patch system functions, so please always be careful with what you install and make sure your model is compatible. http://www.palmpowerups.com
However, core files can be found today at this topic right under the photos: http://www.lmame-bug.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=905
Main browser I should recomend installing the up-to-date translation "Picsel Browser_eng_wy.prc", which you should already have.

| The instructions I followed to get it working on my TX (MaxX was already installed):
Unzipped and move the "core files" (from lmame-bug.com) into SD card
Using McFile, moved files into RAM
Using FileZ, edited details of picselbrowser.prc to disable 'readonly" and "copyprotect"
Unzipped and moved piscelbrowser_eng_wy.prc into SD card
Using McFile, moved file into RAM, yes to overwriting
Installed PicselAccelerator
Results:
Full screen
English (both program and web)
Full access to preferences
Can read doc, xls, pdf
Issues:
Graffiti dialogue doesn't work (this is a feature -- I use the built in graffiti anywhere squibbly icon thing at bottom)
Out of memory when I try to load anything remotely big
After exiting the program (after out of memory), everything is frozen (requiring soft reset)
My understanding is that dmitrygr's UDMH ($10) solves the memory issue. I have yet to try it. However, is that the only solution? |

| UDMH makes the memory issue less invasive, but you still run out of memory on really large documents. You can also save memory by using the Palm-adjusted layout (remove the bandaid from the top icon in the icon ring).
One other issue I have is that the 5-way navigator buttons don't always work correctly; using the left and right buttons will cause the screen to scroll as far as it can in that direction and keep scrolling, with no other input possible after a while. I haven't come up with a fix yet, athough I'm considering hacking into the UI library to change the keybindings and/or functions.

| :P I thought I already discussed this issue with you. Oh well; no wonder I wasn't able to find the problem in the PB code. Time to dive into MaxX

Hello, I think I have an idea for this out-of-memory (well, at least for mine...).
I posted it on a different topic an hour ago, so discussion about memory should continue there (message 54): http://www.1src.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1028677
For the freezing problem, it also happens to me sometimes. Specially when I exit the browser and quicky disable wifi networking (if I dont do, it works okay).
Please Dmitry! dont forget to fix those buttons pblm! |

| Where can I download Picsel Browser? All the links above don't work. I'd appreciate if someone could email me a copy at tphacker@gmail.com
Thanks,
