Question PSP--Is this the Sony successor to the NX and UX series Clies?

Is the PSP the successor to the high end Clie series?? With the Ipod, smartphones, and basic cellphones taking over the market for handhelds, the PSP to me seems to be the successor to the Clie.

The PSP has internet, music, video, movies, camera option, and games capabilities (mainly) . It's cheap looking compared to the old Clies, but it seems to attract mainly teenagers and adults looking for an alternative to the Nintendo DS. Also, its a possible competitor to the IPOD--especially long term--as the PSP gains more utility by being connected to the new Play Station 3.

Is this a good thing, is it true, or is this idea cowplop? Or is this like, Duhhhh.

For me, the biggest missing feature is a touchscreen. Until it has it, the PSP can only be compared to the pre-iPod touch iPods.

How about the Sony Mylo COM-2 ? It's got a touchscreen and almost all the non-gaming features of the PSP...

(well, yeah, you can't install new software...)
