| Blazer2Card - Export Blazer's Saved Pages to a VFS Card. With this app you can export pages saved in Blazer (Saved Bookmarks) to a VFS card (as html pages) so you can open them with any other browser.
I've only tested on a TX (Palm Blazer version 4.3) but it might work with others. If not, let me know and I'll try to fix it. I will need you to send me a bookmark file to see though.
I wrote this as my PC is breaking up on me, and I'm currently doing most of my research with my TX.
There might be a builtin way to do this, but I haven't found it and I was in a bit of a hurry. In that case, just ignore this but let me know
EDIT:
On files where the html part is larger than 32k, a bunch of junk characters will appear at the end of the html file. This is a known bug and I'm working on it.
----
Typical disclaimers appy (although nothing should go wrong).
Use this app at your own risk.
The app can be found here: http://www.1src.com/freeware/fileinfo.php?id=1763

| I know what you mean
I also dont't want to use the root for anything. In its current form the app is a quick fix which I wrote in a couple of hours at work. I'll upload the updated app when I get back from work. |

| OK v0.3 is out.
You can now edit the export path (menu->Edit Path). Sorry its not very sophisticated but I didn't want to bloat the app too much. Just make sure you put slashes on both side of the path. e.g ' /DOCUMENTS /' instead of ' /DOCUMENTS'.
I also removed the need for a tmp file on the card. This might make the app a bit slower on older devices (<OS5) but you shouldn't need to run the app on these devices anyway .
Let me know if something else is missing or wrong! |

| Its a common problem with Blazer.
Download it to your card (it will be a file called download.php) and change its extension to .prc.
Then copy it to RAM |

| The trick I use on files like that is to add "&name=filename.prc" to the end of the php link -- the browsers recognize the file ending etc. and php just escapes the unknown value.

| Does not seem to work on a Treo 680 - at least not on mine
[Edit]Nevermind, was a problem with my Treo - now it works [/Edit]
[Edit2]It saves someting, but the output-file is crap
Blazer2Card always tells me "Unable to extract file type. Using '.html'."
I've uploaded the bookmark-file and the generated html here: http://www.compuseum.de/pub/blazer.zip

| Thanks for this.
It looks like the version of blazer in the 680 saves images as well inside the bookmark file.
I should have a new version ready later on today. |

| Change the php to prc - isn't life easy when someone tells you.
Program works, although it says error cannot read 'html' type files first, before suceeding.
Can't check the file output till i'm on a desktop. Unless you know how to open it on the treo 650.
Also in the name of constructive criticism: when getting info on the saved page: rarely is anything useful given, only with two google pges didi I get url, the others were just a lot of numbers.
Well done - I need the space for bookmarks. |

Looks like the file format is different on the 650 as well. Thats what I get for believing that Palm would actually standardise on something....
Send me a bookmark file if you can and I'll fix it

This post explains how to open local files with Blazer: ( http://www.1src.com/forums/showpost...272&postcount=4)
If you use resco explorer navigate to the directory storing them and click on them. |
