| Convert to MP4 using FFMPEG!! I created a guide on how to convert your video to MP4. Its really long so I'll just redirect you guys to my forum where you can read it and post your replies here. http://jamerican.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5
If you guys find any errors, mistakes or if it doesn't work, reply here. It would be a pain to make you guys register to my site to post replies.

| Haha, thanks for mentioning my name, JAmerican
Man, I would have loved to have a guide like this back when the whole ffmpeg/mp4 scene was still a whole mystery to everyone lol.
Just one question/clarification. For as long as I can remember, the stock and/or CVS versions of ffmpeg were not able to produce playable files at resolutions such as 480x320. For these, I had to use the MobileHackerz version. Has this changed now? If not, it may be worth mentioning.

| If I recall correctly, you can get a binary from the MobileHackerz site, as well as the source patches, etc.
Though, if the stock ffmpeg is working, then it shouldn't matter. (I was just asking if it was? It's been a while since I've used ffmpeg)

| I updated the FFMPEG file on my site. I just replaced it with the one I was using to make sure no conflicts arise.
BTW, no problem. Its all because of you that I use FFMPEG fluently now
Also, I got a BT dongle now and I use it to browse the web on my UX. So much faster. Feels like WiFi. My WiFi died on my device so I've been using BT ever since. Just got the dongle like 3 days ago.

| Hello JAmerican,
just a quick note to let you know I did your mod for FFPMEG and it works great. Now I can just right click on a file and it will transfer it to MP4. I also did the same trick for AVI files and it works great. (It was an XVID video) I guess it will also work for DIVX files.
Thanks again,
Bye :-)

Do you have the MP4 codecs? If you are using the Media Launcher, your files have to be palced in the MP_ROOT/100MNV01 and must have a file name like M4V00001.MP4 for example. I use FullMoviePlayer . Make sure to take off the extra extension at the end as well. This will make your video file invisible in FMP.

You need to go to Folder Options > File Types > Select AVI and do the same thing as you did for MPG/MPEG.

| Help: Can't see MP4 files. Ok, This is what I did:
Installved FMP v2 and MP4 encoders via install tool. I could not see MP4 files (all caps .mp4) tried to remove encoders, could not delete. Restored system, and found instruction to use Palm Insider Pro to install encoders. Installed FMP 2 via install tool, dragged all yhe encoder filesfiles in Palm Insider Pro to the ROM (I think), FMP only shows .MQV files (and yes, I can play them now)
What did I do wrong?
TIA

| RE: help I just noticed all the files in Palm Insider have a little dark icon to the right to them except the Avx MP4Parser, I can't find out what that means, as the docs on Palm Insider are sparce. The icon seems to look like a chip slanted to the right. Hope this helps. |

| Jamerican, I need your help. I've been trying to use FFMPEG to create an MP4 from DVD VOB files.
I use the following command line arguments to get pretty good results:
ffmpeg.exe -y -i C:\Temp\vts_04_2.vob -f psp -s 320x240 -b 384 -v 150 -r 29.97 -ar 24000 -ab 64 Test.mp4. It plays great on my UX50.
However, from reading your comments, you were able to get full 480x320 conversion. When I try to change -s argument, my Full Movie player pops up a MessageBox saying "Unsupported movie format."
I think I might need a more current version of FFMPEG. Every version I've been able to get my hands on has produced the same bad results. I went to your excellent web site and downloaded your version, but it only comes with the executable. No dll's were included in the zip file.
What do you think could be the problem?
