| Do yourself a favor before the Z2 arrives... export your PIM data as archives, copy the PIM folders to another directory, and, as a "last resort," don't hard-reset the T5 yet. You may have to un-install Palm Desktop to be able to install the Zodiac desktop properly.
I mangled my installation to the point where I had to beam all my PIM data from my TE to my Z1, uninstall Palm Desktop, install the Zodiac desktop, sync the Z with conduits set to "Handheld overwrites Desktop," reinstall Docs to Go and ePocrates, and sync again with conduits set to "Synchronize the files."
It's all working now and worth the purchase, but this was the first time I've ever had to uninstall Palm Desktop--I've had 5 versions previously, and each newer one installed over the old one with no problems. (It probably has a lot to do with the older PIM apps on the Zodiac compared to the newer ones on my TE, but just changing the conduit settings didn't work.) |
