| Syncing Versamail 3.1 to Outloock 2003 The problem is that versamail on my lifedrive does not sync to my inbox of outlook 2003.
According to Palmone Support, they know that problem, and it appears, if you only have a pop3 mailbox in outlook.
Versamail then does not sync the emails with outlook.
Does anybody have the same problem?
Any Solution?
Palmone Support says, the are working on it... |

I only have a pop account. How can I activate activesync with that? Can you help me there? |

You need a exchange server to use activesync.

#6 | | Guest | pop has to be enabled on your exchange server and then you will have to point activesync to your incoming and outgoing mail server Quote: | Originally Posted by UlliV Do you have an exchange server account in outlook?

| syncing with ld and microsoft exchange server account I am trying to sync my work e-mail with versmail and active sync. I set-up my server and all of my settings and I hit the test button in versamail to verify the connection and it works ok. But when I go to the ld and hit sync to get my e-mail it does not work. Has anybody got this work with the Life Drive and if so how did you do it as I am very frustrated and ready to return this pda. |

| try this Hi!
Have you tried Intellisync? They provide some custom solutions to sync pdas to Outlook and other programs. You should write to them and ask them if they can solve this issue. I guess I might wind up with the same problem soon after I get my LD.
Let me know how it all goes, okay? |

ChrisD, I use a Treo 650, but I've had that problem. Try increasing the message size limit if you could. Might have to do it several times.

Would love to know how to sync it. |

#13 | | Guest | Versamail and POP I though POP accounts worked well with Versamail.
I used a temp gmail account just to see how it worked w/ the Treo and it did!
The PalmOne tech told me try this account. treo.test.account@gmail.com
pw: treo.gmail
server: pop.gmail.com
port: 995, check SSL
outgoing serv: smtp.gmail.com
port: 587, check SSL
Try it. Just check it and there's 4 emails w/ test attachments.
I also have problems opening attachments w/ docs to go.
Apparently, all the SW have problems communicating w/ each other.
Still waiting for the fix. http://support.dataviz.com/support....=13570&pid=2000

| I'll try that Sal, thanks.
My problem seems to be related to authenticated SMPT. Still, I'll try that one to test the settings. |
