 | USB car adapter with Zire 72
I have a USB car adapter that plugs into cig. lighter and has a USB port. It says input 12~24Vdc output 5.5Vdc;700mA.
Will this work to charge a Zire 72 in the car? I'm afraid to try it without knowing if the voltage is right. |

| The USB connector charges but VERY slowly. I ended up getting a phone-charger with the same voltage/amp ratio and it charges much faster and now I have only one charger for my samsung v660 and my Zire 72. 
I noticed when I used my 72 and connected the USB connector to charge, the PDA drew more power than the USB trickle charge put back in and eventually drained my battery. 
You can usually find a phone charger for about 5-10 bucks that would do a much better job. | |

I feel a little silly... after I hooked it up to try it today I realized it's not going to charge with the cable I've got.
I have one of those "zip" sync/charge cables for my Clies that I use with this USB car adapter and it works fine. I guess I wasn't thinking - I don't have a sync/charge cable for the Zire, just the regular USB sync cable that came with it. It doesn't connect to the charge port at all (duh!)
So I just bought a car charger on ebay... probably cheaper than getting a USB sync/charge cable anyway. | |

|  what phone charger works for the Z72?
Can anyone tell me the phone charger that will work with the Z72, without damaging it?

| LAMMER I bought a cellphone (Auto)charger used for Samsung,Kyocera, and LG/Touchpoint. The cellphone model numbers are:
Samsung: SPH-A460, SPH-A520, SPH-A540, SPH-N400, & SPH-N240
Kyocera: 2000, 2100, 2200, & 2300 Series
LG/Touchpoint: LX1200
