| New revolutionary FREE media player is out!! Hi all.
Glad to announce a new video/audio player -
The Core pocket Media Player (tcpmp) for Palm os.
It has been only released, but it is already fastest video player for palm.
About 1.5-2 times faster than MMplayer, SmartMovie, or any other player for palm OS.
Even owners of slower devices as TE/Zire71/TT/TT2 can enjoy full screen full framerate video playback. No more tweaks are needed on TT3/TT5 - it is so fast, that it easily plays any video , without overclocking or pre-rotation.
This player is based on the engine of BetaPlayer for pocketPc, and is written ty the developer of BetaPlayer - one of best players for PPc's. therefore it is very optimized, and supports large variety of formats.
For example, this is the only player for palm OS, that can play .OGM (ogg media
video) and .MKV (motroska) video formats. No need to mention that it plays regualar .AVI(divx/Xvid), and also .mp3 and .ogg (and other ) audio files. And it is completely free.
Although it is pre-alpha reliese, it's olready behaves very stable, and does excellent job. I personally tested it on TT3 and TE, and found no problems.
Get it here: http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/

| No need for me to try it yet. Other Zod users have already reported crashes on start up. Hopefully that's going to be a simple fix.

| OMG!!!! This thing is ****ing amazing!!! It plays a 320*176 24 FPS movie FULLSCREEN with a speed of 120% in the benchmark! And this on my old TG50, working with 200 Mhz... I don't want to imagine how fast it'll work on a TH or a T5... Very good job! |

Actually, the TH benches as 120% also. A TC would probably bench at like 3000%.

| Hey guys, Next version 0.61 is out.
Some bugfixes.
I can confirm that green background is fixed!
And probably T5 landscape should work now.
Zodiacs should not crush upon start too.
Check it out.

Well, I cannot confirm that landscape mode works on my T5 with v0.61. The program itself rotates, but the movie only moves from the center position (in portrait mode) to the top half of the screen (still in portrait mode). Look weird - but I'm sure this will be fixed soon.
Cheers. |

| Like the software a lot.
Works great on my T5, except of the famous white screen upon exiting the app.
It takes about 5 secs before it disappears. |

| wow, just tried it out and it's WAAAY smoother than MMPlayer! any word on when it'll become a final release? it looks very promising thus far!
[damn, there's $15 down the drain (i really should have paid attention to those who said MMPlayer isn't worth it). i'm not saying that MMPlayer isn't really cr@ppy, just that TCPMP is much smoother and surprisingly stable compared to MMPlayer. the messy UI isn't a problem with me, as i'm one of those people who don't care what it looks like as long as it works.]

MMPlayer was the absolute best alternative before they came out with this news. The Magic Lantern was the next best alternative, but not even it was really anygood until the version released yesterday, which still has alot of bugs.
Its going to be developed with BetaPlayer, and therefore will have no final release, but will be continually developed.

| I tried on the VZ90 and I got a small problem... The graffiti aera remains, I can't minimize it (the arrow is grayed) and when I tap on the Full button, it doesn't change a thing...
Edit:
I tried forcing it with code diver, no way...
