| Is this "MemoryJack" supposed to be JackFlash and JackSprat in one application? |

| MemoryJack is basically the same thing as MSMount5 (Lets you access things on VFS as 'tho they were internal RAM), but instead of being read-only ilike MSMount5 you can also modify those things.
This is what I've gleened so far - Would have to ask one of the beta testers or Brayder for more accurate nfo |

It lets you use the expansion card as if it were RAM. It actually replaces the RAM with a virtual disk on the expansion card.

| Yeah - what jjesusfreak01 says! Virtual Disk would be the best description for it.
Instead of linking apps to the memory card and copying stuff from card to RAM when executed, it makes the memory card look like RAM.

Actually, a specifyable portion of the card. You dont have to use the whole thing, and the rest still acts as a card.

| So MemoryJack doesn't do anything like JackFlash or JackSprat? I just want to remove RealPlayer, the default web browser, email client, and some other things permanently from my Zire 72.

| What does it have to do with my original question then? I just wanted to know if the two original apps. from Brayder would work on the Zire 72. I guess FrankG answered that.
Thanks for the info. on this new app. though. ZLauncher and Powerrun already do the same thing as this new app., don't they? How could files on external media run as fast as if they were in RAM?

Its not as fast on my TH, but perfected, it certainly could be usable. It is not the same as any current apps, to my knowledge, as they only allow access to apps on the expansion card, and dont actually treat the card as ram the way it does. It also sets everything up for you, so you dont have to transfer apps from your RAM.

| Ok. Say you have Bejeweled and you used ZLauncher or Powerrun to store it on your MS Pro. on your TH55. Now you tap on the Bejeweled shortcut and ZLauncher or Powerrun launch it from the card and puts it in RAM for use. How fast is this new app. compared to that whole process I just described? Does it actually run the apps. on / from the card (without ever transferring them to RAM)? I didn't think that was possible and if so, would be very slow. |
