Anyone else have memory stick problems...?

This is a very frustrating problem, and I have posted about it in the past quite a few months ago. But no one replied.

So.. I'm just wondering... am I the only one who experiences this?

The problem - my Clie goes through phases where it will freeze any time it tries to access something in the memory stick slot. This requires me to do a soft reset. The problem still persists after the reset (even after a hard reset IIRC). The solution for me currently is to remove whatever is in the slot, and then go to sleep. The next morning, the Clie does not freeze when I stick in a memory stick anymore.

So, what happens when it is acting up..

It will usually start like this.... Working away... try to access a file on the memory stick. Clie stops responding. Soft reset. The point of the soft reset where it access the memory stick, the screen stays blank, hangs there. So, I remove the memory stick and do another soft reset. Reset's fine. Try to pop the memory stick back in. Immediately after inserting, the Clie stops responding. (The access LED does not even blink like it should).

The other way that this starts... I remove a memory stick, and then insert another one. Clie hangs... access LED does not even blink before it freezes.

Um...... has anyone else seen this behaviour before?

It's pretty annoying you know...... because those of you who have a Clie (especially the TG50) will know that your handheld is pretty much just a PIM without a memory stick... And I paid for more than just a PIM... lol

Lol. But seriously lol. It's very annoying. (Oh yes. It happens if I stick in a WiFi memory stick as well. So.. it's not limited to standard memory sticks)

I have a similiar problem, but with NX80V 1g memory stick. There probably is something that corrupted the stick, but can't figure it out. I just keep resetting until it goes back to normal. Very annoying. If it seizes for good, probably will switch to T/X. Good luck.
