OK, so the wife washed my Clie TH55 in my pants pocket. 13 Months later, the damn thing is back on working like nothing happened. The memory stick was working hours after the event (with all data retained), but the PDA and cell phone took months and months to recover. PDA of course lost all data on it, but the cell phone has all it's data.
It should be said, I can't believe this rechargeable battery still works.
I would think the TH55 camera would be hurt in the wash cycle. My Sony Ericsson's camera was effected by the washing of my cell phone. Memory cards are pretty strong but I think the data wearing will eventually show up after 10 years of constant memory usage.

Actually, the camera on my TH55 was broken before the wash cycle incident. I'm not sure why though, but I believe it is a software issue rather than hardware. The camera on my cell phone still functions. The speakers work on both devices.

TH55's camera module is prone to fail, is a common problem on TH55s.
I changed mine two years after the purchase of the device, one day it started to fail, a annoying popup appeared every time I started the camera app. I bought a broken US TH50 with a good camera module in order to change the broken one.
The camera module is easy to replace but the device needs to be completly dismantled in order to be replace it. I remember that on this forum are pictures that shows how to do it.
