You don't need vzw access manager to tether so these instructions are for Palm or a laptop. Settings:
After you have sucessfully paired your device to your BB via bluetooth:
1) Pair your Palm with your Blackberry through Bluetooth as a trusted device.
2) Configure Palm's Network Preference Service.
Service: [whatever you want like "BB Bluetooth"]
Username: is your full 10 digit verizon cellphone number @vzw3g.com
example:
9195551212@vzw3g.com
Password: is your 10 digit phone number example: 9195551212
Connection: [the name of your paired Blackberry Device you created]
Phone: #777
Tap DONE
2) Go to your Bluetooth preferences and make sure that your Network Service is now set to whatever you named the Service in the Network Preferences, for example "BB Bluetooth"
3) Tap CONNECT
4) You should now be able to surf the web or play streaming radio through Pocket Tunes, etc. all over your Blackberry's internet connection!
Hope this helps you as it did me.
Some have actually managed to connect with the #777 and no username and password using a palm TX, however I would be careful of doing this if you do not have the tethering option enabled on your plan, again it could be a high charge on your next bill.
A side benefit is that VZW Access manager sometimes butts heads with some VPN software, in which case, you can use a bluetooth DUN instead of the usb tethering as a backup.
