| Hotsync problems on T5 I don't know if I'm alone having this problem, but I've read that some people had the same issue.
Basically, my Hotsync cable with a HS button randomly refuses to cooperate.
I have the HS screen appear on my T5 (sometimes though, there's no reaction) but the PC shows the message about unrecognized USB device.
BT HS works fine but is much slower, but I got used to that, the cable is just for charging.
Anybody any solutions?

| Wiggle it!
I've got the same problem. But I just try to make sure that it fully seated.

| Just make sure it's in all the way, and that theres no dust in there, dust can do it.

| OK, I tried wiggling the palm, but it does only work if I press the palm and the plug really strong together. If I release the pressure, the transmission stops.
I'm really not looking forward to buying a replacement cable. I think I'll just send it off and wait for a replacement.

| Get that with the cradle, too. Sometimes a wiggle works; other times it hasn't but a warm reset of the T5 does; other times a PC reboot is necessary.
I suspect it's at the T5 end of the connection, possibly just down to poor design of the docking connection but there may also be something in the OS that confuses the PC.
As far as Windows is concerned, XP is fairly good at keeping its USB system stable, but there are times it stops recognising devices and a reboot is the quickest way to recover (I very occasionally find my XP laptop ignores a USB mouse when I plug it in if it's being woken up from hibernation, having been put to sleep with a whole different set of hardware connected); Win2000 is far less tolerant and I regularly had to uninstall all USB services and reboot to rebuild its USB driver set (not a difficult process and only takes 5 minutes, but an annoying delay/interruption if I was busy).
