| Well, the unit was returned and works perfectly. Took some pictures and they look fine. The swivel appears a bit loose, but after the trouble I had getting the NZ to Sony and getting it back, I'll fix it myself. Sony was to send me an email with printable UPS shipping labels which I never received. After almost a week and 15 customer service reps later, I dropped the $14 shipping myself. The very day I shipped it, I received a UPS package in the mail with the labels and a box??!! Now you mean to tell me that the 15 people I spoke to couldn't tell me that it was going to be sent snail mail, nor did they check my database to find out that a rep had provided me with the address info just a few days before?! Extremely poor communication within their cust serv. Plus, each time you call, they routinely "refer you to a higher-level tech support" person, who you then have to explain the issue all over again.... I thought at the very least they would ship the unit back to me FedEx or overnight since I paid the original shipping. No such luck. I just pray my other Sony gear holds up so I don't have to go through this crap again |
