Suggestions that may help, or may not . . . but are known to work for some people. Use at your own risk.

1. Don't use a USB Hub at all for your Palm PDA. Ever. I've never heard of one working well and consistently.

2. Lightening strike may have caused issues with software, too . . . have you reinstalled the desktop? Including the USB drivers? (That is, uninstall it, then RE-install it) This has fixed random weird things for me before. And YES, I know it's not scientific . . . Plug the cord into a USB port YOU KNOW IS WORKING - - test your camera on it or something... All the software you need should be on the disk that came with your PDA.

3. Last, you may want to hard reset your PDA. There have been cases in the past where that fixed everything. If you decide to try this route, you will need to rename the back-up file (I use the date when I do this) so it doesn't reinstall all your software and/or the problem . . . that would defeat the purpose of doing this hard reset.

Good luck, and keep us posted . . . and if you feel like it, go ahead and post the pictures... there might be something somebody notices that I missed.
