I tried Clie Player - no skipping.
Next I updated AeroPlayer to v5.0.1 - no skipping anymore, either.

This is great for my enjoyment - but now it seems obvious that there are some 'bad' things going on in the background - the buffering plays over it, but maybe the MS-slot really isn't built for constant vibrations.
Now I have a bad conscience, certainly shortening the TH's lifetime at listening to MP3s... or simply moving too fast.
Actually, now it's not a matter of MP3-playback anymore, it seems. The same mechanical abuse would happen to the device in powered-off state.
Something
built for sport would be the best choice, maybe... but the TH *could* do it right... hmmm.
