I'm curious about a few things regarding a game controller for Palm OS. This is a bit of a brain dump, but I'll try to keep my rambling to a minimum.
PEGA-GC10
The game controller that Sony has supplied doesn't work on all Sony PDAs, and it is rather buggy on my TG50. Is it feasible (I'm pretty sure it's possible) to write an alternative driver so the TG50 and other PDA's can make better use of the game controller?
Serial game controller
Another feasability question... I've seen someone write a PPC app that lets you use an old school serial game controller on a PPC, and I'm wondering if this would be as difficult or more difficult than fixing the GC10 driver?
Alternative control solutions
I'm curious what other options there are... either BT/IR/USB or what not that are possible. I assumed buying a PDA with a full keyboard would make game playing a given since I have like a million buttons.. but I was apparently mistaken.
To give a little scale for answers to feasability.. my skillset is fairly diverse, but nothing tremendous in terms of driver programming. I have a decent background in Visual Basic (5 or so years), but I've never undertaken anything like this.
I appreciate any and all replies.. I've seen some threads regarding fixing the driver, making controllers work on other PDAs and such.. so hopefully they see this and can provide more insight.
