| PalmFontConv update I've made some updates to PalmFontConv. (palmfontconv.sf.net; also available from palmgear.com)
1. Support for generating FontHackV fonts.
2. Even-width forcing. This option tries (and doesn't always succeed, but usually does) to do better at rescaling fonts to ensure that every character in a non-anti-aliased font has even width. (Otherwise, the converter I think just pads with a column of blank pixels, which leads to ugly spacing.) This results in fonts that look significantly better to my eye. It should be disabled for anti-aliased fonts which have no such silly width requirements.
For those who don't know, PalmFontConv is a suite of font converters, including GUIs for generating fonts for Font4OS5, Plucker and FontHackV from TTF/Type1/bdf/pcf/etc. fonts. |
