Sharp LCD Rev.A vs Rev.C

Does anyone know how the Tx LCD screen Sharp "Rev.C" compares with "Rev.A"? I have a collection of Tx units, with 'birthdays' ranging from Sep-2005 to Oct-2008 (based on S/N). The early Rev.A unit (2005) had a miserable LCD, dim enough to be frustrating to use in a well-lighted room. I got a new Rev.A LCD from DirectFix - despite the same Rev.A label, it is much brighter than the original. The 2008 units are much brighter than the Rev.A, except for the one that I sent back to Palm due to a defunct digitizer. To add more confusion to Rev.A, this one came back from Palm with a Rev.A - and while the display is reasonably bright, the coloration is frustratingly bluish, instead of a neutral white light.

The screens on the 2008 units are not identified with a manufacturer label - instead they have numbers like TD038STEC1 and JR23473A06.01 on them.

The reason I ask - both Rev.A and Rev.C screens are readily available on Ebay. I would like to know - is ordering a Rev.C from Hong Kong worth the trouble, i.e. is it a better screen?

Although I have a Blackberry, I would like to keep my Tx collection up & running.......

Thx,
Bill
