hA HA, the N760c and the old NR70V has an earplug plus a special plug for the headphones volume/hold/ams adjustment. You can plug in any earphones into the earphone jack but only the special attachment allows you to adjust the volume/hold/ams without touching the PDA. This addition predates the special IPod headphones that is now being sold for IPODs.

I was extremely lucky in getting an original headphones part with my N760c and the other part with an NR70V.
