Sorry I haven't been posting about GVM - but I've been a very busy girl Hacking away - installing KDE on my N810 It's absolutely amazing!! It's basically (a few minor exceptions) the exact same desktop environment that I've got running on my PD. Full PIM suite, KOffice (opens Open Office docs flawlessly), Konqueror (with TABBED BROWSING), plus you can create shortcuts for your favorite Maemo apps to the KDE desktop. Oh and the guy who's compiling KDE to run on ARM has also been able to get joysticks to work - you can play Quake I literally have a computer in the palm of my hands.
