The Eee will have to wait... it's crossed my acceptible price-point, and the screen isn't high enough rez for what I want it for. I'll have to see how the Merom core ones look...
BTW, is it possible to DL the GarnetVM without giving Nokia my e-mail address...? |
Congrats Cyker!!

You're gonna love it!!
Sorry I haven't been posting about GVM - but I've been a very busy girl

Hacking away - installing KDE on my N810

It's absolutely amazing!! It's basically (a few minor exceptions) the exact same desktop environment that I've got running on my PD. Full PIM suite, KOffice (opens Open Office docs flawlessly), Konqueror (with TABBED BROWSING), plus you can create shortcuts for your favorite Maemo apps to the KDE desktop. Oh and the guy who's compiling KDE to run on ARM has also been able to get joysticks to work - you can play Quake I literally have a computer in the palm of my hands.
Here's some screenshots:
My KDE desktop - not on my PC but on my N810
Konqueror - with tabbed browsing
FBReader (plucker doc viewer for Maemo) opened on KDE
