You dun need warranty to get it fixed for free. Its a defect on the CCD chip, and they'll fix it for free. My first set also had no warrranty, and I went down to Sony in hopes that they might be able to fix up my Bluetooth, but they were going to like charge me 700+ for it.
The thing is, even if I didn't pay for the repairs, they were still going to charge me an assessment fee of like 40+ dollars, but they even waived it off and I got my camera fixed for free. Very nice, very Sony.
Go fix it man. I was playing with my NZ90 the whole night yesterday, and I'm now at work feeling really really tired. LoL~ Yeah, the NZ90 is so worth it.
