AFAIK, Finder only hides files/folders w/ names...

AFAIK, Finder only hides files/folders w/ names that begin w/ a dot "." (or listed in ".hidden'). You can show hidden files or run "ls -l" from a command-line.

Apparently, it could be caused by AvantGo for me too... I have not been using AG for awhile, and also have not had the same problem [backup (from Mac) instead of desired HotSync] during this time....

Hasn't MarkSpace had enough time to resolve this issue yet?? This is a major, major showstopper issue! All of their resources should be focussed on fixing this problem.
