no its fine, its just that the original link is broken

go to http://tigerdirect.partsearch.com/ then choose SONY from the listbox and type in peg-ux50 (for example) as your product and click OK....

why not..

...just make a lil voltage divider to set supply to 4.2v and then use transistor to stop charging (when v battery = v supply no current flows)

if the voltage is just "too low" why the feedback loop? you'd think the circuit would just stay "off".
