YEs, you need a special driver to use a 4 GB MS, BUT the built in multimedia apps will not work with this MS. The main problem then is the Audio player ... because using another one will drain...

Well, frankly, it's easy to find proper batteries for the NX. Try on ebay, it's not expensive. So why would you risk to ruin your wonderfull machine or even burn yourself ?
