Just a friendly reminder for those that can't understand why Palm went with a mono soundsystem on the T|C: It was so that they could plug a headset in for two way communication, not just headphones....

Sony hasn't released their CD-quality sound API to the public yet, and I've heard nothing more than rumors about it being released to developers under NDA. I'm hoping that they're doing this because...

For the record, the NX73 addressed a few of these concerns. It has a seperate voice recording button that is press and hold and it has app buttons in tablet mode (though not scroll buttons). It may...

Sony doesn't, but if landscape support is in fact standardized in PalmOS6, that won't be nearly as much of an issue.

While it's true that QuickOffice was one of a handful of apps that worked in...

You're right, it does go out. Sony really blew this. Got so wrapped up in "polyphonic" alarms that they missed actually getting your attention with them :)

Maybe the Zodiac, T3, or iQue will get...

That's more of an issue with the applications than the Clie. However, if there were support for landscape mode in the OS, then more apps will support Landscape mode. To the best of my knowledge,...

To me, some PIM functionality != a PDA. They're using a MIPS CPU, which means that they're not using any of the major PDA OS that I'm familiar enough with to know what CPUs they run on, so they're...

The NX80 (and NX73) use Intels 263 StrataFlash chip, so there should be more room. However, this will require updates to JackFlash, and may not even be possible, as Intel put in a security mechanism...

Only for those that only (or mostly) care about games. Tapwave is aiming at people that want a PDA as well. And the prices for the Tapwave are competitive with standard PDA pricing (show me an OS5,...

I've got an NX-60 that just isn't happy with PXA Clocker. I read through the entire thread, and I saw a few others ask about this, but all the answers seem like they misunderstood the question.

Not true. OS 3.5 didn't support landscape, but the HandEra 330 running OS 3.5 most certainly did. Likewise, no PalmOS version without HiDensity support supported 320x320 displays, but that didn't...

Doesn't the NX73 use the 263 CPU? That's got 32MB of FLASHRAM built into the CPU, which would be wonderful. The catch is, I'm sure, that since it's built into the CPU, jackflash will have to be...
