You can't get an Omnia onto Verizon without at least an email/web plan. (mine is 30 dollars/month.)

(The battery seems to be fine still)

I was going to suggest fiddling with the reset switch.
I did the dreaded "double push" once that sets up a looping reset too.

TH55's reset is a bit fiddly.
