You're definitely right, the ladies at Gadgeteer do know their stuff, and it does say something if they both purchased the hx4705.

The speed is definitely a plus, and the battery life isn't too bad...

I keep the brightness at 50%, but overall, compared to my NX80, I think my TH55 is dimmer at 100% than the NX80 at 100%. Just my opinion and also a comparison between the two.
