ebooks are astronomically cheaper to produce than real books. in fact, the digital formatting only has to be done once and they take up minimal server space... so cost is essentially zero compared...

i'm not positive, but i've heard that hitachis are a good buy, because the company actually manufactures lcd screens for all the other CE companies, so you're basically eliminating the middleman.
