Unfortunately unless you are using military gps that is something you would have to accept. Or you could try a combination of cell tower tracking and gps tracking although this will probably not...

TMK if your T|X turns on and operates fine in the cradle you may just need to let the battery charge up or your battery may be defective, it can be replaced which is not that hard to do.
