FAT32 driver - WORKING This is the fat32 driver from lifeDrive, modified to allow it to work on other devices. I tested on my TH55 and it works. VFS mark gave it higher score on same card. BUT i warn you - if you and reformat to FAT32, and backup to card, and then you have a hard reset sometime you will not be able to restore as the driver will not be present and the device will not know what to do with FAT32. download here for now: http://dmitrygr.com/file/FAT32.patched.prc Get it fast. |
YAY! 4GB MS! |
just dont backup to it and get the driver. it will go down soon so make sure somebody has it to give to others |

I have it but I also have a question. Does this mean you can't use it with FAT-formatted MS cards? JAmerican |
you can. it supports FAT12 and FAT16 as well and supports them faster then the original driver (says VFS MArk) |

It works with TCPMP but not FullMoviePlayer and MediaLauncher. The CLIE Built-in DSPs or Apps don't work with it. JAmerican |
UMM... thats impossible, its a FS driver. FMP doesnt know about it and it doesnt know about FMP. something you did wrong. |

What could I have done wrong? Also when I take a pic, that works but recording doesn't. I used Resco to view my pics and it was like from 56K to Cable. LOL. JAmerican |
all works for me and a lot of card oparetios are faster. I do not know why but they are. :-D i will stick with FAT16 card and this driver for speed :-D |
Data Import Much Faster :) JAmerican |

Found the problem. I guess UX users will have to use this file... http://jamerican.net/1src/LifeDrive/FAT32.UXpatch.prc - Changed the creator ID to SIMF, just like in the UX's FATFS. - Changed the creator ID to 5 instead of 548, just like in the UX's FATFS. - Checked the Backup option just like in the UX's FATFS. This way, FAT32 replaces the FATFS. I have a feeling that before they conflicted thus causing the crash. JAmerican |
