Battery Test Application
I just got back my UX from Sony Repair and found a new application installed with it called "Battery Test". I was planning to upload it to the Freeware section of 1src.com but would like to know if it is OK to the moderators and to all of you out there.
It has a small footprint, only 29k. Y axis represents Volts (3.4 to 4.4). X axis represents minutes in increments of 15. It has the following menu:
*****About Battery Test...
******************Battery Life Testing
I checked Freeware.com, Handango.com, and Palmgear.com; but did not find it in those 3 sites, so I am assuming it is an application created by Sony Repair for testing out the battery.
I also tried it on my TH55 and it works fine. It might work for older CLIES too.
So please let me know if it is OK to upload it on the Freeware section. :)
Either way, I'd love to try it as soon as possible (most other battery apps don't seem to work on my UX50). So if you would, please e-mail it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'm up for trying that, email@example.com.
I LOVE the sound of this app!
It seems pretty harmless, since Sony's out of the PDA business now...
Does it have a "©" copyright in the "About..." screen?
firstname.lastname@example.org thanks :)
OK guys, I've sent you all the file. It is a pretty useful application since it would create a record of how long your battery can last. Thus, you can have a basis whether the battery still holds the proper voltage as time goes by.
email@example.com i like to give it a try to!
Cool, I got it thanks! I will be unable to try it out until I get home from school at 6:00 PM today...how does it compare to BatteryGraph app?
I would be interested as well.

wouldn't it be shorter to actually write your address...good job at doing a lot more work... :P
Ya never know when the Spambots are lurking.
Please email me a copy at firstname.lastname@example.org... I'd like to give it a try also!
I don't know if you are referring to me, but thanks. :) I wish one of the moderators would respond so I could upload the file to the freeware section. I don't want them or me to get into any trouble. :o
As for the battery graph application you mentioned, sorry but I don't use it, so I have no point of comparison. :(
For everyone, here it is again. Anyone want to host a link for this file? I'll send it to you. It'll be a lot easier for me too. :D
I'm not a Moderator here but I play one on TV.
Send it to me and I'll host it on Streamload for our friends here at 1src. Send it to: email@example.com
:D :D :D :D :D Good enough for me. Thanks to your "melt down thread" I got my UX running the first time, but it occured again, so I had to send to to Sony for repairs. :( :( :( :( :(
I just sent it to your address. Thanks for hosting it. :) :) :) :) :)
