Sending DOC and PDF files via Bluetooth to TH55

I'm trying to send some DOC files and PDF files via Bluetooth to my TH55 from my 15" PB.

When I send a doc file, Docs2Go immediately jumps in and asks if I want to open it there. If I say yes the file opens and I find that it is now stored on my palm as a .pdb file. What I really wanted to do was get Picsel Viewer to open the file, but if I tell Docs2Go not to open it the file doesn't seem to get saved anywhere.

When I try to send a PDF file, I have even worse luck. I simply get a message saying that it is an unsupported format and I don't get any options.

I know I can get around all this by using the cable and Mark/Space but I am trying to find a way to do this stuff on the go wirelessly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dimitri

When you send the file, are you forced to put it in RAM when it arrives on the Clie? That might be the problem, that a native .doc or .pdf can't reside in RAM, so your only choice is for DTG to convert the .doc to .pdb. If you can choose to put it on the card or in RAM, put it on the card. Otherwise you might need a 3rd-party solution. I use Drag 'N Tooth to move files to my Clie by BT, and when the file gets to the Clie, it asks if you want it in RAM or on the MS. If you save it to the MS it should be fine.

What you need is a program like ReceiveIt - It's designed to intercept things beamed by IR and save them to VS. I've had great success uusing it to save beamed JPEGs, which PalmOS doesn't normally let you save.

The only thing is I'm not sure if ReceiveIt will intercept BT sends, but if BT sends use the same mechanism as IR then it should.
